Registration Deadlines
All registrations are accepted on a first come, first served basis. Once the maximum capacity is reached, the subsequent applicants will be placed in the waiting list And will be moved to next conference (in case of Online conference).
Cancellation Policy
If the retreat or event is cancelled by the organizer, you will receive a full refund (100%)
If you cancel your participation in a retreat or event for any reason, you receive no refunds. We cannot however compensate you for airfare or travel costs incurred. In the unlikely event that the retreat or event is cancelled due to weather, natural disaster or political upheaval, we cannot guarantee a refund – it will be depending on receiving a refund from the venue / tour operator we work with. To cover these risks, we highly recommend you purchase travel insurance
Privacy and Intellectual Property
The Envoy MUN reserves the right to utilize all the data submitted to The Envoy website and to collect data in the form of photographs or videos during the conference and social events without limitations.
All participants agree that no data, results, and materials from The Envoy MUN 2023 will be disseminated by means of publications, reports, conferences, or any other form without permission from The Envoy MUN of which these data, results, and materials are its exclusive property.
The Envoy MUN reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice. If any changes are made, the revised terms and conditions shall be posted on the theenvoy.org website immediately. Please check the latest information posted herein to inform yourself of any changes.
Code of Conduct
The Envoy MUN issue one participation certificate per delegate, One time only. Participants are supposed to download their E-Certificates as soon as they receive it.
The Envoy MUN does not issue any certificates, more than once.
You hereby certify that all information submitted are truthful and accurate. Any falsification of any information submitted will terminate their participation in The Envoy MUN and future The Envoy MUN activities and may result in legal actions.
You certify that all materials produced for this conference will be original work. Plagiarism has zero tolerance at The Envoy MUN, and should The Envoy MUN Secretariat discover instances of plagiarism, you will be disqualified from the conference without refund.
You are expected and obliged to obey the laws of host country while participating in The Envoy MUN. You will be held liable for any damage or loss caused by you. Full payment for any such damage or loss must be paid prior to your departure. If you fail to make payment, you will be responsible for meeting any claims (including legal costs) subsequently made against The Envoy MUN because of your actions together with all costs we incur in pursuing any claim against you.
You have full assumption of risk and acknowledge that The Envoy MUN, and its members, officers, elected representatives and employees, including the The Envoy MUN Student Secretariat team, do not assume any responsibility for the conduct and activities of the participant.
You agree to accept and abide by the Code of Conduct published in the Conference Handbook and decided by the The Envoy MUN Secretary-General.
All employees including interns at The Envoy MUN are required to claim their payments within the deadline informed to them along with the required documents.
No further processing or remuneration will be done after the deadline.
Awards
Delegates from the same high school as their chairs will not be eligible for any committee awards; however, they will still be eligible for conference-wide and research awards.
This policy does not apply to middle school students.
Position papers are anonymized while chairs are grading them.
Harassment
The Envoy MUN has a zero tolerance policy for harassment and bullying of any kind. If a delegate is found to be harassing any other conference, they will immediately be removed from the conference proceedings, reported to their advisor, and not be permitted to attend future The Envoy MUN sessions or conferences. Harassment includes, but is not limited to the following:
- Inappropriate messages or comments
- Offensive remarks
- Verbal attacks of a discriminatory nature
Delegates should be aware that all correspondence on Discord or Zoom will leave written records that the secretariat will be able to review as needed.
Delegates who feel they've been harassed or feel unsafe should do one or a combination of the following options: tell their chairs, reach out to a member of the secretariat, inform their advisor.
Academic Integrity
Delegates found to be plagiarizing will be immediately reported to their advisor and will no longer be eligible for any awards.
Pre-written clauses and directives are not allowed at The Envoy MUN, and delegates are not permitted to work on clauses and directives during breaks unless explicitly told by their chair. We highly encourage delegates to use breaks as breaks and lunches as lunches. Go outside.
It is the responsibility of the advisors and delegates to ensure that members of their delegation do not violate this policy.
Electronics
As The Envoy MUN is a virtual conference, electronics are quite necessary. We ask that delegates keep their cameras on if able, and attempt to limit the number of distractions on their conferencing device of choice.
Delegates should not be utilizing messaging apps to contact other delegates over the course of the conference. Our Discord bot will enable contact to delegates in other committees and those in the same committee can make use of the zoom chat.
Dress Code
Delegates are expected to be presentable. Strict WBA is not necessary, but at least semi-formal clothing is expected.
